Printing Plate Costs for Customised Promotional Products
Important note on customisation: At Shop for Shop, printing plate costs (also known as blocks or dies) are only applied for the initial production setup, unless specified otherwise depending on the product category.
When Printing Plates Are Included
The cost of printing plates is included in the product price for the following categories:
- Apparel: screen printing is included for designs up to A4 size (210 × 297 mm).
- Promotional gadgets: printed using either screen printing or pad printing.
- Paper bags: all series except Custom, Elite, Luxury, and Pop-up ranges.
- Adhesive labels: printed using either letterpress or hot foil stamping, depending on the model. In both cases, the plate cost is included.
When Plate Costs Apply
For all other categories, a printing plate charge is applied only for the first production. The amount depends on the printing technique used and the size of the item.
The charge is automatically added to your basket when selecting the "NEW JOB" option, and includes the necessary artwork adaptation.
Reprints and Plate Reuse
If you are reusing the same artwork on identical or similarly sized products, you can select the "REPRINT" option (where available) to avoid paying for a new plate.
Note: if the same artwork is applied using a different printing technique, the "NEW JOB" option must be selected again if a plate cost is applicable.
Technical Details by Product Category
